It's been three months.............
There were so many things to do I had to focus my attention on the real world.

Little white experimental pieces are coming off the hook. They are part of an exploration exercise in form and texture. The hard-wired organic shapes dominate. What would they be like if I was crocheting in another world with non-carbon based life and different physical laws?

I have reopened my Etsy shop and listed some pieces of Generation II Softwear. The community attached to Etsy is fabulous and inspiring and I've missed it. Consequently, the Big Cartel shop is closing.

My entrant in the Border Art Prize was accepted and has been part of the exhibition since late last year. It feels good to be part of a very big diverse group of artists who live in this area. I managed to get down to the gallery today to take a photo of it as the exhibition finishes tomorrow. The exhibition in its entirety looked good and I think the gallery staff have done very well to put together the 250+ pieces, in many different media, into a cohesive whole.

This piece is being entered in the Border Art Prize. A local art prize open to artists from the surrounding shires. The finalists will be exhibited at the Tweed River Regional Gallery. Hopefully it will get in........ fingers crossed.
I managed to find the sea urchin fossil I mentioned in an earlier post, in the garden. I've had it for a long time and it's really very precious. It needs a special safe position where it can be admired.

The fence post is proving a good location to photograph my work. This necklace below is made from leftover plastic bag yarn from the "Rubbish Vortex". The three little vessels I posted a photo of recently were made from the same leftover yarn.
Another little vessel below made from precious orange plastic bag yarn. It's resting on a small hexagon quilt I'm currently making (check out Alicia's Poulson's tutorial here). It feels really good to be hand sewing again.

She has started to graze, but still likes being bottle-fed warm milk and gets very feisty when it runs out.

Hariette is a healthy and happy heiffer now.
She's mooing, walking, running, kicking, bucking, head-butting and occasionally escaping. I get woken up in the morning by her standing under the kitchen window, mooing for her milk. I've been seen chasing her around the garden in my pyjamas. The grass is beginning to interest her and I see her patiently trying to get long stalks with seedheads into her mouth.
There has been time for some crochet too. Three little vessels with a pedestal made from multi-coloured plastic bag yarn.
