The Gooseflesh Lab is open for business. I decided to open a new shop to replace my Etsy shop. The Etsy shop interface can be difficult to navigate for new buyers and I never liked the Etsy banner. So the Gooseflesh Lab will be a new shop to sell experimental things I make.
A blue T-bag:
Made from T-shirt yarn, stash fabric and a couple of crocheted buttons.
A bag full of "Gooseflesh" labels has been sitting in my box of trims and ribbons for approx. 25 years........ yes, I'm not kidding. I had them made when I was sewing some clothes as a very young chappy.
Some pouches made from plastic detritus and beach collection fabric:

A beach collection pouch with zip and grey felted zip-pull. Lined with driftwood coloured linen.
A homemade portfolio containing six plastic detritus hand-coloured linoprints heading for the Grafton Regional Gallery print night 23.9.10 and three pouches for the Gallery shop.

Cos lettuce, sebago potatoes, turmeric, peanuts, bean seeds and the last of the cherry tomatoes.

The rosella bushes were harvested a couple of weeks ago and I ended up with only about a 1kg of fruit. Once I'd removed the seeds I had only half the volume left........ it amounted to 3 small jars of rosella jam. Not much to show from 7 bushes. I must admit the bushes took a bit of a battering; they were attacked by all sorts of pests including cheeky Harriette.
After pulling out the spent bushes I decided to keep the branches......... such a pretty red.
I had a fun afternoon making this strange structure. Don't ask me what it is!!
More red vegetable matter...... red coral lettuce, ready for eating.
Harriette is doing very well. Her legs are getting really strong and she likes to gallop around kicking, bucking and swishing her tail around. The nights are cold now and I've noticed her fur is changing....... it's not as red, but a darker brown, it's coarser and much longer too.

Self-sown cherry tomatoes..... I pick this many every couple of days. We've been eating tomato soup, tomato pasta sauce with lots of chilli and I tried slow roasting them in the oven too. Shula over at Poppalina also has tomatoes popping out of her ears and shares a great recipe.
The loofas are ready to be picked too. Millions of caterpillars have descended on them!!
I put my foot in the photo so that you can see how big it is. The loofa that is.
They make great kitchen scrubbers.
