I found some sketches on various bits of paper around the house. Thought it best to collect and save them. I tend to sketch and write down ideas all over the place, on all sorts of bits of paper. Time to get a bit organized!

2007 is the Chinese Year of the Pig.
I'm busy making some textile collages with this in mind. The pieces will be exhibited at the Robin Gibson Gallery in Sydney in February. They are made from materials I've collected from op shops (clothes, haberdashery, doileys, buttons etc.). I've chosen a palette which I call my Marie Antoinette palette - it consists of a muddy turquoise, orange-pink, grey-blue and muddy putty. The collages are assembled on calico and will be stretched on little frames. They aren't finished yet.....some more piggy details are needed.
A bamboo shoot.
These are the first yoyos I've made(slightly dodgy). I've been so inspired by all the Flickr images of gorgeous yoyos I wanted to make some myself.
I love the poppy fabric in the middle.... it came from a threadbare cushion cover.
